Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the Sanya team ("Sanya", "we", "us") for using the Sanya app and the website at sanyagym.com. By creating an account or using Sanya, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Sanya.
What Sanya is
Sanya helps you turn workouts you choose, like YouTube videos or online courses, into a home gym membership: a monthly pass, booked classes, photo check-ins and a "make it right" rule when you miss one.
Sanya is a planning and habit tool. We're not a gym, we don't employ the trainers you add, and we don't create or check the workout videos.
Your health comes first
Sanya doesn't give medical or fitness advice. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you're pregnant, injured, or have a health condition. Stop any workout or "make it right" task that causes pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
- You choose your own workouts, health tasks and their intensity, and you take part at your own risk.
- If a health task doesn't feel right on a given day, skip it or use a sick day. Sanya never needs you to push through pain.
- Exercise somewhere safe, with enough space and suitable equipment.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Sanya.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure, because you're responsible for what happens in your Sanya account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Your membership card is just for you.
Subscriptions and the free month
- Sanya is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and may include tax.
- New members may get a free first month. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your subscription starts and you'll be charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google when you confirm your purchase. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We can't issue refunds for purchases made through them.
- If we change the price, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
The no-show fine
We'll never take your fine. The no-show fine is a promise you make to yourself, not a charge.
- You choose the amount. Sanya never collects, holds or processes it.
- When you miss a class, Sanya suggests you spend the fine on someone you love. Whether and how you do so is up to you.
- The fine is not a debt to Sanya or anyone else, and no one can enforce it.
Your content
- You own what you add to Sanya, like your photos, notes, trainer details and links.
- You give us permission to store, process and show that content to you, only so we can run Sanya for you. This ends when you delete it or your account.
- Only add content you have the right to use. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission.
Trainers, YouTube and other links
- Videos and courses belong to their creators. Sanya links to them and shows public details like titles and thumbnails. We don't host or copy the videos.
- When you watch through YouTube, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Trainers listed in Sanya are not connected to us unless we say so. We're not responsible for third-party content, sites or courses, or their availability.
Fair use
Please don't:
- Break the law or anyone's rights while using Sanya.
- Try to hack, overload, copy or reverse-engineer Sanya.
- Use bots or automated tools to access Sanya.
- Upload anything harmful, offensive or that you don't have the right to share.
Ending your membership
- You can stop using Sanya or delete your account at any time, in the app or on the website.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and explain why.
- We may change or stop parts of Sanya. If we shut Sanya down, we'll give you reasonable notice.
Our liability
We work hard to keep Sanya running well, but it's provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, or for injuries or losses from workouts, health tasks or third-party content you choose. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Sanya in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Apple and Google
If you got Sanya from the Apple App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Sanya or its content.
- Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for Sanya.
- If Sanya fails to meet any warranty, you can tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple isn't responsible for claims about Sanya, including product liability, legal or consumer protection claims, or claims that Sanya infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm you're not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo, and not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you got Sanya from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your purchase.
Law and changes
- These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without removing protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
- If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Sanya after that, you accept the new terms.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
